Heather and Terry Dubrow Pay $14 Million for Los Angeles Penthouse
The reality-television stars from shows like ‘Real Housewives’ and ‘Botched’ were looking for a pied-à-terre in the city
Reality-television stars Heather and Terry Dubrow have bought a penthouse in the Century, a condominium tower in Los Angeles, for $14 million, according to property records.
The couple, who live full time in Orange County, said they had been looking for a pied-à-terre in the city with real-estate agent Heather Rae El Moussa, of the Oppenheim Group, for about half a year.
“To us, this was a time to figure out what area we wanted to live in, which building we liked,” Ms. Dubrow said. “I basically saw every building in Los Angeles in every area. I went into this building and I was blown away.”
Ms. Dubrow is on the reality series “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” now shooting its 17th season. She is also the host of the podcast “Heather Dubrow’s World.” Dr. Dubrow, a plastic surgeon, is working on the eighth season of the reality series “Botched.”
The Century is a guard-gated, 42-story tower in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Century City. The building is known for its elite status and notable residents, according to Cassandra Petersen with Coldwell Banker who represented the seller with Tomer Fridman of Compass.
According to property records, the unit was sold under an LLC linked to Sergey Grishin. Ms. Petersen declined to comment on the seller’s identity.
The couple said it was the design that sold them on the 5,300-square-foot, two-bedroom penthouse. Known as the Cavalli Penthouse, the unit is the first American residence completed by the Italian designer Roberto Cavalli, according to Ms. Petersen. Finishes include a custom Murano glass chandelier, onyx walls and parquet floors, plus fireplaces made of marble from Spain and curtains from Italy.
“Everywhere you look, it’s something special,” Ms. Dubrow said.
Ms. Petersen said Mr. Cavalli was tapped to redesign the penthouse in 2018. The process took about two years and dozens of shipment containers from Europe to complete, she added.
The penthouse listed for $21 million last year, according to Ms. Petersen. It dropped to $17.9 million this past July. In-unit amenities include a wine room, a sauna, three terraces with views of the city and the ocean, and an elevator that leads to the building’s ground level.
